Saba Handcrafted Shaving Brushes stabilized wood Made in NZ

What makes our wooden handles different from other shaving brushes is that the wood used for the handles has been stabilized in a process which involves the wood being placed in a vacuum chamber with heat activated resin which fills all the wood pores. The wood is then heated to 93 degrees Celsius which hardens the resin inside the wood. This makes the wood 10% to 40% heavier and very stable. This process prevents the wooden handle from cracking. We then turn the handle. The last process is to then cover the handle with a two-part resin which brings out the beautiful grain and creates a water repellent and very stable handle which will give many years of service.

We have a range of wooden handles in NZ native and exotic woods in both synthetic and badger hair.
